TAMPA BAY RAYS MAKE DREAMS COME TRUE
Dream Child Will Be Named ‘Champion’ at Tuesday’s Home Game.
On Tuesday, August 31st, 7-year-old Benjamin will receive All-Star treatment when he is hosted by the Rays and Champs Sports for a special Rays game experience. Benjamin was diagnosed with leukemia and is currently undergoing treatment at All Children’s Specialty Care Clinic in Tampa. Benjamin will travel from his home in Clearwater to Tropicana Field with his parents, Peter and Robin Hogsholm, where he will be greeted by Rays staff and presented with a personalized jersey. As part of his VIP treatment, he will walk onto the field through the dugout to meet players and coaches before taking the mound to throw the first pitch. The Rays and Champs Sports continue to support children with life threatening illnesses and their families through the Tuesday’s Champion program. A child that has received a dream through the Children’s Dream Fund will be named as a “Tuesday’s Champion” at every other Tuesday home game throughout the season. In July, the Children’s Dream Fund made Benjamin’s dream to take a vacation to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas come true.
