“Contributing to the Children's Dream Fund has been a very special part of my pledge and commitment to give back to our community. By sponsoring specific dreams of kids who live right here in our area, my staff and I can “connect” with a child, and feel that we have played a small role in making his or her life a little happier, even if for just a moment or a day. I have great admiration for the Children's Dream Fund staff’s tireless efforts in bringing joy to those kids and their families who are facing life-threatening illnesses; there’s a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes in turning those dreams into reality… and for that, they deserve our support.” Thomas Strickland, President

Kids Who Care Program
Kid's, you can help, too!
The Kids Who Care program is a wonderful way for school age children to make a dream come true for a child battling a life-threatening illness. Similar to our Share the Dream program, the Kids Who Care program allows participants to choose a child to sponsor. After the dream has been fulfilled, the Kids Who Care sponsor will receive a plaque of appreciation of the child enjoying their dream, and will be mentioned in the Children's Dream Fund newsletter.
Dream Children come from communities throughout West Central Florida and dreams vary in cost. Fundraising ideas can be as simple as a birthday or holiday party, with donations in lieu of receiving gifts. Your school, club or church group can participate too. Fundraisers have included car washes, dress down days, contests between grade levels, and candy or bake sales. You can create your own idea, or the Dream Fund staff can help.
If you, your school, or group would like to participate in the Kids Who Care program, please contact Kathy Scott, Kids Who Care Coordinator, 727.896.6390 or kscott@childrensdreamfund.org.

Evie - Evie's gifted class challenged her to do a community service project. She created "Heart and Sole" featuring hand-made flip flops, headbands, jewelry and more. She sold these items with 100% of the proceeds to benefit the Children's Dream Fund. Her efforts will help make a dream come true for Emma to shop at the American Girl store in New York City.
Noah and Collin - Sold fresh squeezed lemonade in their neighborhood to help make a dream come true for Scott. His dream is to spend a week with his family at Give Kids the World, enjoying the amenities, and having the opportunity to visit Orlando area theme parks.
