The Tampa Bay Lightning Community Heroes Award was presented to Lori and Barry Torman at the Lightning game on March 7, 2013 of which they donated $10,000 to the CHildren's Dream Fund.
Vinik's Honored At DreamMaker Luncheon - On Thursday, February 28th, Lightning Owners Jeff and Penny Vinik were honored at the Children's Dream Fund's DreamMaker Luncheon at the Floridan Palace.
As a recipient of the 13th annual Tampa Bay Lightning's Community Hero Award, Connor Bruseski, 8 years old, received a $50,000 grant from the NHL club and gifted $10,000 to the Children's Dream Fund. We are extremely honored and thankful for his generosity & we can't wait to make his dream come true!

The Tampa Bay Lightning honored Matthew Baar as a Lightning Community Hero during the first period of the game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Baar, who received a $50,000 donation from the Lightning Foundation and the Lightning Community Heroes program, will divide the money among his charities of choice, All Children’s Hospital and Children’s Dream Fund.
