9-year-old Gavin, currently battling Common Variable Immunodeficiency, is a future engineer in the making! A huge fan of Crunch Lab’s Build Boxes, Gavin loves building games, toys, and doing experiments. Recently, his dream of meeting his hero, Mark Rober, a former NASA engineer at the Crunch Labs in California came true! ⚙️‍

On his dream, Gavin and his family explored the California Academy of Sciences, Alcatraz, and caught an Oakland vs. Rays game ⚾️ before heading to Crunch Labs. While at Crunch Labs, “Science Bob” gave him a lab tour and did cool experiments with Gavin. Then the BIG moment: Mark Rober surprised Gavin, took photos, signed swag, and even showed him an exclusive secret project!!
